Lion’s Paw Golf Links in Ocean Isle North Myrtle Beach is considered one of the better-value courses in the area.  Opened in 1991, it is known as one of renowned golf course architect Willard Byrd’s finest accomplishments. The course is as popular with Ocean Ridge Plantation residents as it is with thousands of annual vacation visitors.

The course consists of Mini-Verde Bermuda greens and 18 holes that weave in and out of coastal forest, encountering well-crafted bunkers and natural water hazards along the way.  Lion’s Paw is a very challenging golf course, with water coming into play on all but four holes. In addition, the putting surfaces are amoeba-shaped and multi-tiered, making them play smaller than they appear.

Lion’s Paw golf course is situated around A stunning 23,000 square foot clubhouse complex at Ocean Ridge Plantation, which houses a pro shop named one of the best in the country in recent years. This clubhouse serves both Lion’s Paw and Panther’s Run golf courses and offers residents and visitors the perfect place to ready themselves for the up-coming challenge on the links. Designed with a safari theme, the clubhouse includes a full-service pro shop, a snack bar and Tamers Restaurant and Lounge, an elegant dining room serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is also plenty of space to warm up before your rounds with a practice putting and chipping green, grass driving range and practice bunkers.  The staff at Ocean Ridge Plantation is also available to organize golf outings, from a small-scale gathering to a full-field corporate day.
